The Adventures of Joe Trap

So I met with Ian Phillips and we are thinking that the work placement will work out. Their web team is quite advanced and doesn't need much help. They do need help with their database (SQL) and they seemed to find me interested as a hardware person. I guess those days working back in the Tech Center did pay off somewhere. The school is very impressive. All the staff wear very rich suits and clothing...In fact the only person that I felt dressed up as was one of the guys working in the web tech area.
I figured these will be the common tasks with my internship:

• Do some hardware work with Projectors, Printers, and Laptops
• Learn PHP so I can be of some use to their super advanced Portal
• Update and expand the existing equipment database
• Small odds and ends around the department

I will be working on Tuesdays from 9-5. Sounds like a solid job to me. Well after going to ISH house and watching some friends drink a bit, I think it's time for bed. I didn't quite feel like drinking at all tonight, so I stuck it out and chocolate and water :)~ Well it's off for a group trip to Oxford and Northern Britain. I'll let you know how it went.
